Pitavastatin is used for:lowering high cholesterol and triglycerides in certain patients. it also increases high-density lipoprotein (hdl, "good") cholesterol levels. it is used along with an appropriate diet. usual adult dose for hyperlipidemia or dyslipidemia :initial dose: 2 mg orally once a daymaintenance dose: 1 mg to 4 mg orally once a daymaximum dose: 4 mg/daycontraindicated in hepatic patients.
